The news is full of doom and gloom. There are so many children and their families who are in great need. The good news is that thousands of you care about it and you are helping. As of this post, we have drilled and/or rehabbed more than 350 water wells in Uganda which serve more than 400,000 people. That’s amazing! It’s also only a drop in the bucket of the hundreds of millions of people around the world in need of clean water.
So, there’s much work to be done. One cup of water, one child at a time.
An average well lasts about 10 years and produces more than 42 million cups of fresh clean water. The Good Book says “And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones who is my disciple, truly I tell you, that person will certainly not lose their reward.” Matthew 10:42 NIV
